Rooms For Hire
The facilities consist of two buildings, the historic Corner House and the Memorial Hall and the beautiful gardens that encompass them. Below you will find the different rooms available for hire. These are priced at two different variables. One for the organisations of Charlbury and the other for private members. You can now book online through our bookings page.
Corner House
Morris Room
£10.00/hr for Charlbury Organisations // £12.00/hr for Private individuals, Courses or Classes
Please note that this room is part of the Community Library between the hours of 10am -1pm. If you would prefer privacy either book after these hours or book the Green Room or Garden Room at the Memorial Hall instead.
Located on the first floor this light filled room, 4.5m x 12m, is ideal for arts and craft classes, language classes, bridge club, etc. It is used by the Charlbury Town Council for full council meetings. Free Wifi.
Anne Downer Room
£8.00/hr for Charlbury Organisations // £10.00/hr for Private individuals, Courses or Classes

Located on the ground floor and situated at the front of the building, the Anne Downer Room (dimensions 4.5m x 4.5m), is suitable for meetings of up to 10 people, As a recreational venue there is space for a few round tables, and with access to the small kitchen this is the ideal room for charity coffee mornings.It is also home to part of our second hand bookshop. So feel free to browse while you enjoy a tea to coffee. Free Wifi available.

The Hall, with disabled access, can accommodate 130 seated in rows, theatre style, or up to 120 when tables are used, a hearing loop is installed.
The War Memorial Hall was built in 1956 in the Corner House garden and has been added to over the years to include the Garden Room and the Green Room making the Hall the ideal venue for a wide range of activities.
Activities which take place in the main hall range from toddler groups, Charlbury Evergreens, ChOC (Charlbury’s Own Cinema), CADS (Charlbury Amateur Dramatic Society), quiz nights, classical music recitals, live entertainment events, talks, dances, badminton, keep fit, charity fundraisers, children’s parties, wedding receptions and other private functions.
Free Wifi is now available in the Memorial Hall. This is kindly sponsored by Gigaclear. Details can be found on the hub, near the stage.
Main Hall

The hall has a wooden floor area (8.5m x 15m) with marked out badminton court, and stage (7.4m wide x 3.81m deep). A BenQ projector is installed together with a motorised drop-down screen measuring 3.5m x 2.65m for films and slide show presentations, blackout curtains, Grotrian Steinveg Grand Piano used for concerts and recitals, Freesat connection and free wifi available.
Garden Room
£10.00/hr for Charlbury Organisations // £11.00/hr for Private individuals, Courses or Classes
The Garden Room (5m x 9m), is equipped with easy chairs and tables and is used to host wine circles, Charlbury Day Centre, smaller informal groups. Freesat connection. The Garden Room is also used as the bar and refreshments area for events taking place in the Hall. Free wifi available.
Green Room
£10.00/hr for Charlbury Organisations // £11.00/hr for Private individuals, Courses or Classes
This room, 7.2m x 5.2m, located at the rear of the Memorial Hall is ideal for all yoga and pilates classes and for baby sensory classes. It has sprung flooring with underfloor heating, privacy curtains, WC, sink. With access directly to the stage, the room is also used as the backstage dressing room when live performances take place in the main hall. Projector, sound-bar, Freesat connection and free wifi available.
Kitchen
£9.00/hr for Charlbury Organisations // £12.00/hr for Private individuals, Courses or Classe
The industrial kitchen, 3.5m x 5.5m, fully equipped including all cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, is used to provide weekly Meals-on-Wheels dinners and can cater for large parties, dinners, receptions, etc.
